About the ANR Group Inc Student Intern Program

An internship with ANR Group Inc and an assignment to work at the Hanford site is an opportunity for college students to work on meaningful projects that have a unique history. These internship assignments provide professional development opportunities for college students in a number of disciplines, including: engineering, business, science, environmental, construction management, health and Safety, and many other fields. Challenging work experiences are provided for students who are willing to work hard and eager to build work experience towards their degree.

We are faced with exciting, yet challenging work on the Hanford site and we look forward to introducing you to these opportunities.

The Hanford Project is located in southeastern Washington State along the scenic Columbia River. The nearby communities are known as the Tri-Cities and consist of the cities of Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco. Three rivers and nearby mountain ranges provide unlimited sporting and recreational activities. There are more than 100 parks, nine golf courses, and over 32 miles of paved biking/hiking paths in the area. It is an easy place to live and a challenging place to work.

Selection Criteria:

Candidates must be working on the completion of a college degree in one of the following Engineering, Science or Business disciplines.

Business & Administration:

Accounting, Business/Related, Communications, Computer Science, Human Resources, Law, Management Information Systems, MBA.

Engineering:

Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Network Engineer, Nuclear, Project Management.

Science:

Chemistry, Environmental, Geological, Health Physics, Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene.

Other:

Cultural Resource, Anthropology, Archaeology, History.

The ANR program is open to all students that meet the minimum qualifications. The minimum qualifications for HMIS and Navarro-ATL are provided below. 

HMIS Interns must meet the following qualifications:

  • US Citizenship.
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA or better.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of the internship.
  • Recently high school graduate enrolled at a college or university for fall quarter/semester or enrolled students that have completed at least two quarters/semesters of college education prior to the internship.
  • Enrolled as a full-time student (12+ credit hours) during the two quarters/semesters immediately preceding the start of the internship. **You may be required to submit an updated transcript prior to being considered for employment.

Navarro-ATL Interns must meet the following qualifications:

  • US Citizenship
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA or better.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of the internship.
  • Program is only open to students with Junior or Senior class standing.
  • Completed at least two quarters/semesters of college education prior to the internship.
  • Enrolled as a full-time student (12+ credit hours) during the two quarters/semesters immediately preceding the start of the internship. **You may be required to submit an updated transcript prior to being considered for employment.

Selection criteria for both programs will be based on:

  • Grade point average.
  • Degree program matches scope of work.
  • Previous internships.
  • Recommendations.

Interns accepted into the ANR Group Inc Student Internship Program must provide a copy of their unofficial transcripts for verification purposes. Interns become employees of ANR Group Inc and receive hourly compensation during the internship program.
